Lewis Silkin actively supports and facilitates involvement in pro bono initiatives.
Some of the pro bono initiatives we have been involved in over the last 12 months are below.
Employment advice clinic - City Law School / Mary Ward Legal Advice Centre
Lewis Silkin supports a monthly pro bono clinic in term time for low income local residents. Volunteers from our Employment, Immigration and Reward team deliver free legal advice. The Lewis Silkin volunteers pair up with a City Law School student and give face to face advice ranging from unfair dismissal, breach of s1 particulars, redundancy, sickness absence, disciplinaries, holiday pay and discrimination.
Lewis Silkin also supports the Thomson Reuters Foundation global pro bono legal programme, TrustLaw. The programme connects law firms and corporate legal teams around the world with high-impact NGOs and social enterprises working to create social and environmental change.
