Lewis Silkin promotes four to partner across UK and Hong Kong

Law firm Lewis Silkin LLP has today announced the promotion of four new partners across its offices, including two in London, and one each in Cardiff and Hong Kong.

London

Alexander Milner-Smith joined Lewis Silkin’s London office in 2009 upon qualification. Alex’s practice spans all aspects of data protection and workplace privacy, as well as having a wide-ranging expertise in employment law, with a key specialism in employment litigation and sports-related employment matters. Alex is part of Lewis Silkin’s Sports Business and Media & Entertainment sector groups and has significant expertise acting on employment matters for multinational corporations, as well as data protection and privacy issues - particularly those arising from the GDPR.

Emily Meredith-Hardy has been working at Lewis Silkin since 2015, when she joined as a Managing Associate. A real estate specialist, Emily is a member of the firm’s Retail, Hospitality & Leisure and Sports Business sector groups, and has a wealth of experience dealing with commercial property related matters including advising clients on the real estate aspects of corporate and finance transactions.

Cardiff

Richard Moore joined Lewis Silkin in Cardiff as an Associate in 2015 before being promoted to Senior Associate in 2016 and Managing Associate in 2017. Richard advises UK-based and multinational companies on all aspects of labour and employment law across a range of sectors with a particular focus on employment issues arising from corporate mergers and acquisitions and outsourcing transactions. He works across a range of sectors and is part of Lewis Silkin’s Advertising & Marketing Group. The UK Legal 500 listed Richard as a “Next Generation Lawyer” for employment across Wales in 2017.

Hong Kong

Kathryn Weaver becomes a partner in Hong Kong, after heading up the office’s employment law practice as a Managing Associate since 2017. Kathryn commenced her career in law at Lewis Silkin ten years ago and boasts extensive experience in advising multinational employers in the Asia Pacific region and the US on international employment issues.
