One of the joys of my job is that the days are always different and unpredictable.
Media relations and public speaking
- I speak regularly both nationally and internationally at conferences and have recently spoken at annual conferences for the Employment Lawyers Association, European Employment Lawyers Association, Industrial Law Society and International Bar Association.
- - I am rated as a leading employment lawyer in various directories including Chambers, Legal 500, Legal Business Legal Experts, Global Counsel and International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers (which ranks me in the top 15 employment lawyers worldwide – however they work these things out).
- - I have written frequently in the national, legal and personnel press and commentated on TV and radio.
- - I co-wrote Legalease’s Employment, Partnership and Discrimination Law for Professional Partnerships and am General Editor and co-author of Tottel's book entitled Age Discrimination.
Recent examples of work
- I represent a number of major law firms and, by way of example, recently defended a law firm from serious allegations of sexual harassment
- - I have been advising a number of organisations on the implications of age discrimination regulations
- - Advising various businesses on TUPE transfers
- - Co-ordinating various multi-jurisdiction projects with colleagues from the ius laboris alliance
- - Acting for various executives in discrimination claims

I'm human too...
I am a long suffering supporter of Welsh rugby and Glamorgan cricket, a keen traveller (and even keener at planning trips I never go on), a mountain walker (avoiding precipitous drops) and a dedicated Francophile.
