I am a commercial real estate partner with 20 years of experience advising on all aspects of UK real estate law, over 15 years of which has been spent advising on major development and regeneration projects, and development finance.
My focus is always on delivery within a robust legal framework, and I have a proud track record of achieving this.
My experience includes advising on all aspects of the development cycle, drawing together the strands of procurement, land assembly, planning, construction, environmental, funding and delivery. I particularly enjoy working as part of a delivery team, both leading on the legal aspects of the project and coordinating and working closely with other client advisors. I have advised on significant national regeneration projects as well as stand-alone developments, and my clients include developers, financial institutions, listed property companies, development corporations and local authorities. I have also acted on a number of joint venture partnerships, between the full array of private and public partners.
I have predominantly advised on the development of mixed use schemes, which has also meant that I have built up an expertise in navigating clients through the requirements of public procurement and I have gained a wide knowledge of the requirements for infrastructure provision.
I joined Lewis Silkin in February 2018 and am hugely excited by the opportunity to work with their excellent real estate team at a time when the delivery of regeneration projects has never been more critical to the economic and social welfare of the UK.
