I work in the Lewissilkinhouse team and have over 10 years in house experience in the media, technology and luxury retail industries.

I advise on all aspects of employment law and have particular interest in employee relations, strategy and TUPE.

My diverse background of clients has allowed me to advise on multi-national acquisitions, key talent contract negotiations and employee disputes of all kinds, particularly across EMEA. I have experience of large scale collective consultation projects and have negotiated with employee representatives and Unions on the potential impact of proposed business changes.

I have broad employment law experience ranging from:

  • corporate – I have extensive experience of acquisitions and mergers across multiple jurisdictions including associated TUPE considerations and the involvement of local jurisdiction works councils and Unions
  • tribunals – I advise on all types of employee claims including unfair dismissal and discrimination. This includes both defence strategies and settlement negotiations
  • employee strategy – I advise on both employee retention and engagement matters and have negotiated contracts at senior executive level. I also provide advice on employee related aspects of immigration and data protection law

Media & Entertainment

Working with a leading media broadcaster for nearly ten years during a period of major growth both in the UK and Europe allowed me to experience the sector both as an employment law adviser on all general aspects of employment law but also on employee strategy. I have sat on steering committees for acquisitions and disposals and large scale redundancies. This has allowed me to advise on both the employment law related challenges as well as the external and internal communications implications and employee engagement strategies of such projects.

My experience in the broadcast sector has also given me experience of union related negotiations and considerations and I have sat on government sponsored consultation groups to discuss new employment legislation and guidelines.
