I am a Managing Associate in Lewis Silkin’s Dispute Resolution Group. I specialise in advising on contentious and potentially contentious intellectual property matters and other disputes.
In addition to intellectual property matters, I also assist clients with contractual issues and also reputation management, by advancing or defending allegations of defamation and by resolving legal issues arising from the misuse of private information.
One of my key practice areas is the resolution of disputes involving intellectual property rights, particularly in relation to well-known brands and creative content. This can be in relation to the UK and EU and also further afield, helping clients resolve issues around the world.
Whilst at Lewis Silkin, I have acted in a number of notable cases, including:
- Lush v Amazon (UK High Court & Court of Appeal)
- Jack Wills v House of Fraser (UK High Court – liability and quantum)
- Rugby Football Union v Viagogo (UK Supreme Court)
- Reed v Arsenal Football Club (OHIM cancellation proceedings and before the OHIM Boards of Appeal)
I also provide pro-active ‘clearance’ advice, helping clients avoid disputes or make an accurate assessment of risk.

Another of my key practice areas is reputation management and the protection of private information. I have acted both for media organisations and also for the targets of their attentions, including defending a well-known newspaper against a number of allegations of voicemail interception and advising a witness giving evidence at the Leveson Inquiry (the official investigation into the culture, practices and ethics of the British press).
