I have recently qualified into the Brands & IP, Data Protection & Privacy, and Commercial legal practice groups.
Prior to joining Lewis Silkin I spent four years working in-house for a global entertainment group and a London based marketing & communications agency. I graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Sport Science but decided to convert to law in 2009 and completed my Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School.
I carry out a broad range of non-contentious tasks for clients, most of which have either a data or an IP focus.
Brands & Intellectual Property
I advise clients on IP protection, enforcement and exploitation including licensing, advertising clearance and corporate due diligence support.
Data & Privacy
I advise companies on a variety of data protection issues, predominantly in the consumer context including: privacy policies; data capture and the grounds for processing personal data; international data transfers; data audits and data processor terms and conditions. My experience has broadened since completing a client secondment at a global car manufacturer.
Advertising & Marketing
Having worked in-house for a marketing & communications agency before joining Lewis Silkin, I have advised on a broad range of issues for a number of different agencies. These include preparing talent agreements, advising on client/agency agreements, giving copy clearance advice, drafting supplier terms and conditions and preparing competition terms and conditions.
