Another particular interest is in discrimination claims. Recent cases have included successfully defending a multi million pound transsexual discrimination claim; defending a law firm against a sex discrimination claim arising out of the rejection of a flexible working request; defending another law firm against a claim for sex, race, nationality and part time discrimination which arose after the individual was refused promotion to partnership; and representing a major investment bank in proceedings for sex and race discrimination.
As a specialist in the privacy aspects of employment law, such as data protection, I am often asked to speak on employment privacy issues at conferences and events, both nationally and internationally.
