The clients I work for include publishing and broadcast media companies, advertising and marketing agencies, a luxury car manufacturer, a Premier League Football Club, a household name toy manufacturer and retailer, IT companies and telecommunications infrastructure providers. I also do a lot of work for clients in the retail and hospitality sectors, including national restaurant chains and high street retailers. In 2009/2010 I was seconded to the legal department of a major retailer.
I advise a number of clients with operations in the UK, but who are headquartered overseas. For example, I recently advised a client based outside the UK on the transfer in of staff following their buyout of a UK business and its subsequent relocation. My work also covers the employment law advice which UK companies need in overseas jurisdictions; this normally involves collaborating with our international colleagues.
