We realise it isn't easy having to make those difficult decisions about which firm you feel suited to and want to train with. So, starting in 2007 for the first time, we decided to hold open days to give applicants a snapshot of what life at Lewis Silkin is really like.
There will be another three Open Days organised in 2009. These will be held between April and May. The open day will start at 9:30am and finish at approximately 5:30pm. Lunch will be provided.
During the Open Day you'll be given a chance to speak to fellow Trainees, Associates and Partners of the firm on an informal basis. We'll give you an overview of the firm and our main clients/areas of work and show you round the building so that you can see what our working environment is like. We'll also organise for you to have a careers chat with members of the HR team and Training Partner to help you consider your career in law and answer any questions you may have.
That said, we appreciate your time is precious and that for reasons of work or study, you may not be able to spend the whole day with us. Our solution? An Open Evening! We will be hosting an evening presentation at our office on Chancery Lane in early April. Come along, listen to what our Partners and Trainees have to say (over drinks and nibbles!) and find out whether Lewis Silkin is right for you.
We'll be looking for candidates with excellent academics and who are expected to/have achieved a 2:1 or first class honours degree. We welcome applications from undergraduates, graduates, mature students and those looking to change career direction.
Places are limited and demand for places is high, so you'll need to convince us in no more than 200 words on your application why a place on an Open Day/Evening should go to you. We'll be letting you know by March 2009 if you've been successful.
