My day-to-day work typically involves advising employers on disciplinary and grievance processes, making redundancies, reviewing contracts of employment or HR policies and defending employment tribunal claims. I have a particular interest in advising on data protection issues as well as all issues to do with disability and ill health.
Having completed my legal training in-house with a major luxury retailer, I have a wealth of first-hand industry experience.
As an experienced litigator, I have handled many employment tribunal claims. I have successfully defended claims for unfair and wrongful dismissal, as well as complex discrimination claims on grounds of age, sex, religion and belief, race and disability.
There is a significant international aspect to my practice and I regularly assist multi-national companies with their employment law issues. A recent example is assisting a global technology company with a review of its HR policies.
