Having spent many years as a corporate transactional lawyer, advising both private and listed companies, and their directors and shareholders, on a wide variety of corporate matters, particularly corporate finance work, I am now a corporate practice development lawyer, responsible for our corporate law training, know how, documents and client literature. A key part of these are the corporate finance resources.
I manage and contribute to the firm’s corporate training programmes, know how sharing and legal update bulletins and meetings, standard transaction documents and client publications. To ensure that I and the firm’s other corporate lawyers are fully appraised of new developments, I spend a large part of my time on reading and analysing new and existing corporate law and practice and researching practical legal points in depth.
I give particular corporate finance advice on transactions in consultation with other lawyers, and occasionally I work directly for clients. This helps to ensure that the corporate finance resources I provide are aligned with clients’ needs.
