Scott's expertise

 Employment

A big part of my job is employment tribunal work – helping clients manage legal claims such as unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing. As well as tribunal work, I also advise employers on matters such as restructurings, grievances, disciplinary processes and investigations.

I regularly provide training to clients on various topics including discrimination and outsourcing. I have also written about employment law issues in a variety of publications, including The Times.

My experience includes a 14 month part-time secondment to a global telecommunications company, acting as in-house employment lawyer for its UK, European, Middle East and African operations. This role provided me with a unique understanding of the regulatory, commercial and employee relations issues confronting large multi-national employers.

 Sport

I am passionate about sport so, naturally, I combine my two great loves in life (sport and law, of course) and am a member of Lewis Silkin’s Sports Law Group. As part of this group, I have advised clubs, governing bodies and players across a number of sports, especially rugby union. I also contribute to the New Zealand Rugby Players Association magazine.
