The CCPA is coming into force on 1 January 2020. It has been described as the next GDPR in terms of impact on privacy practices; and not just in California, but around the globe.

If your company does business in California (or the rest of the US) then this seminar will help you navigate:

  • What the new law says;
  • How it will work;
  • Its extra-State (in the US) and extra-territorial (outside the US) application; and crucially
  • What you as a business need to do now.

Lewis Silkin LLP are pleased to host the “very accomplished and expert” (Legal500 2020) Gary Kibel of US firm Davis & Gilbert LLP who will take us through the complexities of the CCPA (as well as other relevant US privacy laws, and potential future laws, e.g. a potential future federal law on data & privacy; and the proposed IAB industry solution on marketing and ad-tech). Co-Heads of Lewis Silkin’s Data & Privacy Group, Alexander Milner-Smith and Bryony Long will also explain similarities and differences between the US approach and the GDPR/EPD.

If you have any queries, or a colleague who would like to attend, please contact events@lewissilkin.com.
