For the second year running Lewis Silkin has been included in the prestigious Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For survey, despite fierce competition and only a handful of law firms making the grade this year.
Maintaining its two star accreditation as an ‘outstanding’ employer in the Best Companies survey, Lewis Silkin achieved position 33 in the Sunday Times listing, with just one law firm achieving a higher rating, The firm rated highly across a number of factors, including for ‘Giving Back’, reflecting employees’ feelings towards a company’s corporate social responsibility. Lewis Silkin came in at number 17, with 78% of staff believing the firm is run on good moral principles.
According to employee responses to the survey, team work and work-life-balance are other key values much appreciated by staff, as is the opportunity to grow and progress professionally, all of these factors earning the firm high scores.
Run by Best Companies Ltd, the company behind the Sunday Times ‘100 Best Companies to Work For' listing, the accreditation follows the Michelin star-style rating system for organisations that show high levels of employee engagement.

The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For 2010 awards are determined by responses to a questionnaire sent to employees of participating companies, in which they are asked to judge their firm’s leadership, teamwork, work/life balance, pay and benefits, training and career development and social responsibility. This year 1086 companies participated in the Best Companies accreditation scheme.
