A typical day involves advising a broad range of clients from multinationals, to start-up businesses and individuals. This includes areas of business and personal immigration to the UK such as European free movement, international transfers under the Points Based System and related family applications. I work with HR teams and sponsors to ensure compliance with the UK Border Agency licensing obligations and also have experience of handling applications for highly skilled individuals.
I have presented at universities across the UK on a number of immigration topics and regularly write articles for the Law Society Gazette.
Recent examples of work include advising on and obtaining sponsor licences from the UK Border Agency (UKBA) for a number of UK based employers, assisting individuals through the difficult process of regularising immigration status in the UK following redundancy and training HR teams in use of the UKBA sponsor management system.
I have acted for a broad range of clients from multinationals to start up businesses and individuals across a variety of industries including investment banks, IT consultancy and high end fashion houses and restaurants.
