I am regularly involved in High Court proceedings and have particular experience of the Commercial Court. Often I help clients to resolve issues or disputes out of court, whether by negotiation or mediation. The strategy used will depend on the circumstances and my client’s objectives.
I have written articles for a variety of legal publications and often deliver talks to clients or at conferences in relation to litigation and insolvency issues. I produce notes concerning recent developments in the law which are published from time to time on the firm’s website.
Defended proceedings alleging a binding commitment to advance up to €50 million for a Private Equity fund venture.
Acted in a £3m fraud trial. The claim involved allegations of a complex, technical fraud and a freezing injunction.
Acted in multimillion pound litigation in the Commercial Court. The case involved international litigation in a number of different countries and an underlying arbitration subject to a foreign jurisdiction.
Defended a trust claim for property and shares in a company. Case culminated in a fully contested 10 day trial in the High Court.
Defended allegations of professional negligence and misconduct brought against a major UK law firm.
I advise a diverse mix of individuals and companies from the business community. They range from individuals and directors of small companies to high net worth individuals and household name corporations and brands.
