As I advise on dispute avoidance and resolution, provide advice on contractual issues and draft and negotiate contracts, no two days are the same. A typical day may involve providing advice to a client on the best tack to take to avoid a dispute arising; assisting a client to bring or defend a claim in an adjudication; drafting and negotiating development agreements, building contracts, consultants' appointments and collateral warranties or advising on EU procurement procedures or claims for breaches of those procedures.
I have written articles for a variety of construction and regeneration related journals and lectured both at external events and our in-house seminars for clients on both construction and EU procurement topics.
All parties involved in the construction industry, including developers, employers, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers. In particular, a large proportion of my contract work is in the social housing sector (acting for both Registered Social Landlords and private developers) and education sector acting for academy sponsors.

At the weekends I can often be found sailing on one of the local reservoirs or competing (in the loosest sense of the word) in various running events (generally the shorter ones!).
