Areas of Expertise

Some specifics

As an ex-litigator in private practice and having worked for a publishing company in-house, I have gained significant dispute resolution experience in many areas and acted for clients from large corporations to individuals. My experience includes dealing with cases in the Court of Appeal, High and County Courts, the magistrates Courts as well as ADR.

I therefore bring practical knowledge as well as legal expertise to my role. I advise the team on key changes in the law and the technical interpretation of court procedure. In addition, I am involved in the development of the firm's knowledge management system as well as designing and developing internal and client specific training courses.

Media relations and public speaking

I am a committee member of Association of Litigation Professional Support Lawyers and a member of the Association of Women Solicitors.

Recent examples of work

I am involved in the design and development of the firm's knowledge management system, in which we will capture and store in a user friendly database valuable documentation. I am reviewing the standard documentation used by dispute resolution lawyers in order to ensure that it is compliant with latest statutory and case specific developments. I spend a lot of time reading new cases, legislation and consultation documents and writing or speaking about them all, both internally and for client publications.

Clients

All dispute resolution lawyers across the firm.

Qualifications and other experience

BA (Hons) University of Kent (History)
College of Law (CPE and Finals)

I'm human too...

I live in Oxford with my husband and two children who are fast approaching adolescence.  I like photography and am currently trying to master my new SLR digital camera and photoshop.
