I advise on most aspects of employment law and in particular on contentious matters. I am often involved with Employment Tribunal litigation and occasionally with High Court breach of contract cases.

Areas of Expertise

Some specifics

A typical week would involve me guiding corporate clients through redundancy programmes, advising on managing ill health and on disciplinary and grievance processes as well as advising individual clients on issues such as unfair dismissal and discrimination.

Media relations and public speaking

  • I was mentioned in The Times as Lawyer of the Week. I regularly hold workshops for clients on a variety of employment law topics the most recent of which concerned restrictive covenants and confidentiality.

Recent examples of work

  • - I was part of a team acting for a chief executive officer in a garden leave injunction case against a large media marketing organisation;
  • - I successfully acted for a senior manager in an unfair dismissal and sex discrimination case both in the Employment Tribunal and before the Employment Appeal Tribunal;
  • - I advised a Senior Executive in a claim of sex and disability discrimination against an international computer software provider and negotiated a settlement of the claim.

Clients

Some of my corporate clients include a well-known chain of restaurants, a music television network, a publishing company, a Government body and an international utility and service provider.

Qualifications and other experience

  • LLB in Law and German Law (including a Diploma in German Law from the University of Passau, Germany)
  • College of Law (Legal Practice Course)

I'm human too...

I am a real foodie and love to cook and eat out. I also love shopping for clothes and make-up and recently did a short course on occasion make-up at the London College of Fashion.
