In House Employment Lawyers Club

The Lewis Silkin In House Employment Lawyers Club is designed as a forum for discussion about significant developments in employment law and their implications.

The Club meets quarterly at Lewis Silkin's offices and a pack of discussion materials is circulated to members in advance of each meeting. There is no charge at all for membership of the Club or attendance at any of the meetings.

There is also a networking/social side to the Club which involves occasional evening events so members of the Club can get together more informally.

Membership of the Club is restricted to in-house lawyers who either specialise exclusively in or do a significant proportion of employment work.

The benefits of membership:

High level round table discussions

These discussions are the key activities of the Club. Sessions are every two or three months over breakfast or lunch on key areas of employment law.

Meeting dates for 2010:

- Thursday 11th March (12.30-2.00pm)

- Wednesday 23rd June (8.30-10.00am)

- Thursday 23rd September (12.30-2.00pm)

- Wednesday 1st December (8.30-10.00am)

We do not fix the topics for these meetings too far in advance as we like to retain the flexibility to cover the most relevant and timely issues. You can view details of of past breakfast meetings and social events here.

Email employment law alerts

Members are sent prompt analysis of key cases and other significant developments, produced by our know how team, in addition to our newsnotes and employment e-news.

A free place at all our workshops, seminars and conferences

We have a full training programme running throughout the year covering key employment law related topics. A brochure of our spring employment law training events can be downloaded here.

Information packs

These packs are produced for Club meetings and are highly regarded by members. Members of the Club are able to request information packs from our know how team on chosen issues for a fixed token fee, which would vary depending on the level of information required and the subject matter. To order a pack, please contact Richard Lister (details below).
