After a somewhat lengthy/short (depending on your perspective) incubation period the new Audiovisual Media Services Directive aka 'TV Without Frontiers' Directive has finally passed its last European legislative hurdle. The Directive will have a significant effect on broadcasters, ISPs, mobile network operators, brand owners, marketing agencies and other players in the converging media space.

This inbrief lists the immigration categories permitting employment. It also summarises the two most common ways of obtaining permission to work in the UK, namely Work Permits and the HSMP.
