Ian JefferyPartner and Chief Executive
As Managing Partner since 2005, I lead the firm’s overall direction and strategy, working closely with the firm’s Partners and Directors. I have been with Lewis Silkin for the whole of my legal career, moving through a variety of roles since first joining in 1991. In addition to my legal experience, I have an MBA from London Business School.
I also work with clients in the creative industries resolving a wide variety of intellectual property and other disputes.
Although most of my time is spent on my role as Managing Partner of the firm I continue to advise clients on intellectual property and contractual disputes, particularly clients in the creative industries sector. I have very much enjoyed working with clients in that sector, a practice which has given rise over the years to disputes around computer games, apps, typefaces, soft toys, rap music, digital mapping, broadcasting rights, high fashion, low fashion and artists in every sense of that word.
