Lewis Silkin, a leading law firm to creative agencies, has advised Four Communications, the independent integrated agency, on its acquisition of retail and luxury sector specialist PR agency, Rain Communications.

Rain has been established for over a decade and is well known for producing a number of iconic campaigns and serving clients such as New West End Company, McArthurGlen Design Outlets, Midtown BID, Centre MK, Springboard, Walpole British Luxury and London Luxury Quarter.

The deal will see Rain Communications rebrand as Four Rain and will enable Four to extend into the retail, destination and luxury sectors. Founder of Rain, Delia Hyde, will become CEO of the newly branded agency and will join the Four operating board.

The deal is the second in the space of a month, and marks the fifth acquisition Lewis Silkin has supported Four Communications on since Four secured a £10m investment from Business Growth Fund 12 months ago.

The cross-departmental Lewis Silkin deal team was led by corporate partner Karish Andrews supported by corporate tax partner Matthew Rowbotham.

Karish said:“Four continue to buy and build and we are delighted to assist Nan and her team on another acquisition.  The deal allows Four to further grow their sector offering and rounds off an exceptionally busy last 12 months”.
