Outsourcing, onshoring and disposals
Outsourcing contracts are being renegotiated or even terminated in the wake of the pandemic with disputes in some cases over who pays for the costs of redundancies.
Meanwhile, the combined impact of Brexit, the pandemic and the responsible business agenda may accelerate the onshoring trend as companies seek to increase their agility, reduce lead times and better protect and control their supply chains.
At the same time, companies are continuing to hive off and dispose of business areas to raise capital or re-focus the business in the light of significantly changed circumstances.
