Austria

Initial steps

Austria has not yet shared a draft law.

The negotiation round with the social partners planned during the week commencing 25 May 2026 did not achieve a coordinated draft law. The Minister of Labour had announced that, if no compromise could be reached, she would submit her own draft law for the government's political coordination process. She took this step on 6 June 2026.

The draft has now entered internal political coordination between the governing parties.
