This session explores the commercial and legal minefield that is ad-blocking. Does it spell the end for free online content, or is it just a natural consumer reaction to annoying and intrusive ads? Can media and brand owners do anything to stop it, or should they just accept the inevitable and concentrate instead on creating ads that consumers actually want to engage with?

We will consider all these issues and more from the often radically differing perspectives of all those involved in this topical issue, from the ad-blockers to the ad-creators, with contributions from industry and legal experts.

Breakfast and registration will be from 8:15am with the presentation starting at 8.45am and aiming to draw to a close by 10.00am.
