Lewis Silkin is proud to host this debate exploring the implications of the forthcoming referendum on the United Kingdom’s membership of the European Union.

Lord Lamont of Lerwick, vice president of the Eurosceptic Bruges Group and former Chancellor of the Exchequer and Chuka Umunna MP, former Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills will debate whether or not the UK should leave the EU.

Should we stay or should we go?

On 23 June 2016, the UK will vote on whether to stay in the EU. A significant proportion of UK law - including employment and intellectual property law - comes from Europe, while the free movement of persons facilitates UK businesses recruiting workers from other member states.

Given the EU’s considerable influence on British business and workplace regulation, what consequences would a vote in favour of Brexit have?

Please join us to hear what Lord Lamont and Chuka Umunna have to say and to have an opportunity to put your questions to them.

The event will be followed by drinks. If you would like to attend please contact events@lewissilkin.com

Places are limited, so please book early.
