Lewis Silkin invites you to our 2018/19 series of roundtable discussions exclusively for General Counsel, COLPs and Risk and Compliance officers in Professional Services firms.

Whether it’s drunken antics at the office party, bailing out team members or plotting a team move, the question of how to deal with a badly behaved member of the partnership throws up lots of tricky issues for firms to deal with. How firms react to these issues is critical, both in terms of the reputation of the firm and the rights of the member in question. The normal HR practices and policies tend not to work given the precise requirements of the LLP deed and mistakes in this area can be costly.

In this roundtable session, we will look at the procedural requirements of dealing with these issues, and the major pitfalls to avoid. We will consider the practicalities of issues including suspension, discipline and expulsion, together with more complex issues such as forfeiture of profit share and rights of access to the firm’s legal advice.

If you have any questions in relation to this event please contact events@lewissilkin.com.
