Our topical review of developments held with Hays will examine recent and forthcoming changes in employment law.

Important cases in the past few months have included decisions on sex discrimination and pay for shared parental leave, perceived disability discrimination, requirements to record working time, and the wording of restrictive covenants. As for planned reforms, various changes are due to take place in April 2020 as part of the Government’s Good Work Plan. We are awaiting the detail on plans for extra redundancy protection for women who are pregnant or on maternity leave, and limits on use of confidentiality clauses.

We will also update you on the raft of consultation documents issued in July. Not forgetting the implications of (delayed) Brexit and the change of Government. As usual, we will cover all significant cases and other developments that happen before the session.

If you have any questions or would like to invite a colleague, please contact our events team.

We will be holding this event in Cardiff on 21 November, please click here to register.
