I am an Associate in the Employment team in Belfast, having qualified in 2024 following several years' paralegal experience.

I advise employers across all sectors on the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters in Northern Ireland, including tribunal claims, disciplinaries, grievances and dismissals. I focus on delivering clear, commercial and pragmatic advice tailored to each client's business needs.

I am also an active member of the Responsible Business Committee and enjoy contributing to initiatives both within the firm and in my wider community.

Experience

Employment

  • Defending Industrial and Fair Employment Tribunal proceedings on behalf of employers, including managing claims from initial instruction through to resolution and securing commercially pragmatic outcomes.
  • Drafting and review of employment contracts, director service agreements, staff handbooks and workplace policies.
  • Advising both employers and individuals in relation to negotiation and drafting of compromise agreements.
  • Working with HR teams on day-to-day workplace issues, including grievances, disciplinaries, performance and absence management.
  • Advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligence and post-completion integration of employment terms.
