I am a Managing Associate in our market-leading Employment team.
I advise both employers and individuals on all aspects of employment law. I support clients in a diverse range of industries, with a particular focus on regulated professional and financial services. As well as advising on day-to-day employment and partnership matters, I am experienced in litigating high value and sensitive Employment Tribunal claims, from both a claimant and respondent perspective.
I have considerable in-house experience having spent extended periods on secondment, most recently as sole international employment counsel for a hedge fund and market maker, where I was responsible for covering 14 jurisdictions across EMEA and APAC. I have also been seconded to the HR team of a private equity firm and the employment legal team of an international software company. My in-house experience helps me provide pragmatic and commercial advice to clients.
I co-lead Lewis Silkin's social mobility group and am committed to improving access to the profession. I have been personally recognised for my work in this area, with a Gold Award at the 2023 Social Mobility Awards. I also run Lewis Silkin's employment pro bono clinic in conjunction with City University.
I trained at Lewis Silkin and qualified in 2020. Before becoming a lawyer, I had a career as a journalist, working as a reporter and news editor at a national newspaper and a researcher in news and current affairs television. Outside work, I am a keen marathon (and occasional ultramarathon) runner.
