Lewis Silkin has today announced the first data Partner in its Manchester team.

JP Buckley joins from DWF, where he was a Partner. JP has a particular focus on complex, commodity and crisis data protection, AI and cyber work.

He has considerable cross-sector experience across a wide range of information law work including data protection, DSARs (data subject access requests) and other rights requests, cyber, AI, e-commerce, direct marketing and freedom of information. He also brings a wealth of experience in IT outsourcing, which overlaps with his data privacy practice.

JP’s specialisms include Data Protection Officer (DPO) services, data protection compliance reviews, process creation and consultancy, and dealing with Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) investigations and data breach management and reporting.

Lewis Silkin’s Manchester office has grown rapidly since being set up with an initial team of four in 2022. Today the team numbers 47 colleagues, including eight Partners working across data, employment, corporate and commercial.
