We are delighted to announce that Jade MacIntyre, Intellectual Property Partner at Lewis Silkin has been elected as Second Vice President and Treasurer of The Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys for the next two years.

CITMA is the leading professional body for trade mark attorneys in the UK, representing and supporting practitioners at the forefront of brand protection, innovation and intellectual property strategy.

Jade advises major brands and international organisations on brand protection and strategy, and has worked with clients in this space for nearly 20 years. She regularly advises on trade mark selection, clearance searches, enforcement (such as anti-counterfeiting, oppositions and revocations, passing off and domain name disputes) and related agreements. She has represented clients before the UK Intellectual Property Office, the High Court and the EUIPO.

In the role of Second Vice President and Treasurer, Jade will play a key part in supporting CITMA's strategic direction, governance and financial stewardship, working closely with the wider executive team and Council to advance the interests of trade mark professionals and the clients they serve.

Commenting on the appointment, Jade said:
