Lewis Silkin today announces that Mark Hague has joined the firm as a Partner in its dispute resolution team, based in the firm’s Manchester office.
Mark specialises in insolvency disputes, restructuring and complex commercial litigation. He has more than a decade of experience advising on some of the most complex and high-value insolvency and commercial disputes in the North West, with a particular focus on acting for insolvency practitioners, directors, shareholders, creditors, investors, lenders and charities.
His insolvency practice spans both contentious and non-contentious matters across personal and corporate insolvency.
Mark has led multi-disciplinary teams on complex solvent and insolvent restructurings, and regularly advises office holders, secured lenders, receivers, directors approaching insolvency and purchasers on pre-pack administration sales. He also has experience with FCA-regulated company insolvencies and Special Administrations, as well as advising insolvency practitioners on investigations brought by their regulatory bodies.
Mark also advises on a broad range of commercial disputes, including breach of contract and property disputes, civil fraud, asset tracing, shareholder and director disputes, professional negligence and high-value debt recovery. He is also a qualified mediator and has substantial experience using ADR to resolve disputes efficiently and commercially.
Mark’s appointment forms part of Lewis Silkin’s continued investment in its Manchester office, which has grown rapidly since being set up with an initial team of four in 2022. Today the team numbers 50 colleagues, including nine Partners working across data, employment, corporate, commercial and dispute resolution.
