IPEC amplifies the distinction between UK and EU trademark rights

"In a recent UK High Court Intellectual Property Enterprise Court (IPEC) judgment, His Honour Judge Hacon construed the jurisdiction provisions of the EU Trade Mark Regulation and applied EU case law in a manner which underlines the value of UK trademark registrations for those that consider the UK to be a market worth protecting or a favourable jurisdiction in which to litigate".
