Lewis Silkin named one of Britain’s best employers for eight years running

City law firm Lewis Silkin LLP has once again been recognised as one of the UK’s best employers by The Sunday Times’ esteemed ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ survey.

City law firm Lewis Silkin LLP has once again been recognised as one of the UK’s best employers by The Sunday Times’ esteemed ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ survey. Coming in at number 76, this marks the eighth successive year Lewis Silkin has been included. The firm has also been accredited with an “outstanding” Two Star Rating for 2016 by Best Companies. Lewis Silkin is one of 8 law firms to feature in the 2016 list.

Initiatives highlighted by The Sunday Times included firm’s participation in the ’24 Peaks’ charity event in 2015, raising over £30,000 for the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals, the firm’s chosen charity, selected in memory of James Levy, a much loved colleague who passed away in 2014. There was also praise for the firm’s approach to employee development and the firm’s support of individual volunteering opportunities.

Over 1000 companies and 240,000 employees completed the survey this year, which encompasses a thorough evaluation of each organisation’s approach to employee engagement. The survey analyses 54 questions across areas such as  Leadership, Wellbeing, Personal Growth, Giving Something Back and Fair Deal. The firm received particularly positive scores for staff feeling they are proud to work for Lewis Silkin and feeling cared for as individuals.
