This IBM report, based on the findings of a multigenerational study of over 1,700 employees from organisations across 12 geographies and 6 industries, compares the preferences and behavioural patterns of millennials with those of Gen X and Baby Boomers, finding that while there are some distinctions among the generations, millennials want many of the same things their older colleagues do. The research debunks five common myths about millennials, and uncovers several "uncomfortable truths" that apply to employees of all ages. The report concludes by offering five practical recommendations for helping a multigenerational workforce thrive in today's volatile work environment.
