This report from Autonomy details the findings from the world's largest four-day working week trial to date, revealing that 92% of participating companies are continuing with the four-day week and 30% have confirmed the policy is a permanent change. It reports that some of the most extensive benefits of shorter working hours were found in employees' well-being, as well as reduced levels of burnout, anxiety, fatigue at the end of the trial. Measures of work-life balance were also found to have improved, with employees finding it easier to balance their work with both family and social commitments. Other key business metrics also showed signs of positive effects from shorter working hours, including companies' revenue and lower staff turnover.
