Adecco's 2023 Global Workforce of the Future report explores the key trends impact the future of work and the key actions organisations need to take to build a future-ready workforce - from generative AI, to talent retention, skills and burnout. The research finds that despite excitement and widespread adoption of generative AI, access isn't equal - over three-quarters of those on a high income are using AI compared to less than two-third of low-income workers. And employees who hold a degree are 50% more likely to use AI than those with secondary school-level education. While AI skills will be vital for the future of work, the report emphasises that human-centric skills like emotional intelligence must remain at the forefront of this technological disruption.
Beyond AI, the report explores how upskilling is emerging as the workplace perk of choice, with 16% of workers reporting they want to upskilled or reskilled for a new job in their company compared to 10% last year.
