I am an associate in the Employment, Immigration and Reward division based in the Dublin office.
I previously worked in the employment practice group of one of Ireland’s largest commercial law firms advising domestic and international clients across a broad range of industries and sectors. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Applied Employment Law from the Honorable Society of King’s Inns and am experienced in assisting clients with both contentious and non-contentious issues arising during the lifecycle of employment.
I advise on a wide range of employment issues including recruitment practices, contract and policy reviews, performance and absence management, health and safety, grievance and disciplinary issues, employment equality and the termination of the employment relationship. I also have experience in helping employers to defend employment law claims before the WRC, Labour Court and the civil courts, and advising them on employment issues associated with commercial transactions and corporate re-organisations.
Data & Privacy
I have an interest in employment related data privacy issues. My experience includes advising employers on compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (the GDPR), particularly in the context of monitoring employees and conducting employee background checks. I also advise on employee data privacy notices, data protection and retention policies, and assist employers dealing with data breaches and data subject access requests.
I advise businesses and individuals moving to Ireland on immigration and global mobility issues including work permit and visa applications.
