I am a Trainee Solicitor currently sitting within the Intellectual Property team. I have previously gained experience in the Employment, Immigration, and Data & Privacy teams.
After completing my undergraduate and postgraduate studies in English and Forensic Linguistics, I completed the Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP University in 2020 and the Legal Practice Course at Cardiff University in 2021. Prior to joining Lewis Silkin, I worked as an Immigration Legal Assistant and an in-house Immigration Compliance assistant at a Russell Group university.
I joined Lewis Silkin in 2018 as a Paralegal and commenced my training contract in September 2021.
My work in the Intellectual Property team currently concerns the protection, exploitation and enforcement of a range of intellectual property rights, but particularly trade marks, passing off, and copyright.
I assist with advising clients and preparing for all stages of the litigation process on UK and cross-border disputes, from pre-action correspondence to trials in the High Court and the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court. I also assist in seeking and negotiating commercial settlements at all stages of a claim, including through alternative dispute resolution.
I also advise clients on non-contentious Intellectual Property issues within their business. I work with our trade mark attorney team to assist with advising on the registration of trade marks and enforcement of rights within the UK Intellectual Property Office and EU Intellectual Property Office regimes.
Other roles and achievements
I sit on Lewis Silkin's Pro Bono Committee and advise charitable organisations on a range of Intellectual Property disputes on a pro bono basis.
I am fluent in Greek and a learner of Welsh.
