As a Managing Practice Development Lawyer and Consultant Trainer, I work as part of our client training service, designing and delivering training courses on employment and discrimination law.
I assist the other practice development lawyers with publications and keeping our colleagues up to date with legal developments, including delivering training to our own team. Having previously been a partner in the department, I now sit part-time as an Employment Judge at the Bristol Tribunal and have started a second role hearing cases in the Information Rights Tribunal, dealing with appeals against ICO decisions on freedom of information requests and data protection enforcement.
Employment
I design and deliver client training courses on all aspects of employment law, focusing in particular e-learning courses and mock tribunals. I am also involved in events for some of our client discussion groups, including the In House Employment Lawyers Club. Some of the e-learning training that I design is for multi-national clients, and I also help to create international client guides to employment law across different countries.
Another aspect of my role is providing training and assistance to my colleagues on tricky aspects of employment and discrimination law.
