I am an Associate in the Employment, Immigration and Reward division in Hong Kong.
I grew up in Malaysia, and obtained my law degree and PCLL from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. I qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong in November 2018. Having grown up in Malaysia, I have attained fluency in at least four types of languages, namely English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Malay.
I joined Lewis Silkin’s Hong Kong office in April 2020. Prior to this, my practice was mainly focused in commercial litigation, and I therefore have considerable experience in handling contentious matters.
The clients I work with come from a range of sectors, such as tech firms, banking institutions and pharmaceutical industry. My practice is varied but I have a particular focus on redundancies and terminations of employment, advising on restrictive covenants, reviewing and drafting of employment contracts and employee handbook etc. I have coordinated regional employment law projects across all major Asia Pacific jurisdictions. I have also advised on data privacy related issues, such as advising employers of their obligations when receiving a data access request, as well as workplace data protection and monitoring issues.
