Koichiro NakadaChairman of Japan Business Group

I graduated from Chuo University, Tokyo in 1978 with a degree in Law, and further graduated from The Legal Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Japan in 1981, as a Japanese Qualified Lawyer. In 1981, I joined Baker & McKenzie in their Tokyo office during which time I took a break to follow a Master’s degree course in Law at Queens' College, Cambridge University, graduating in 1988; and registered at the Law Society of England & Wales in 2006.

After graduating, I returned to work with Baker & Mckenzie before joining Clifford Chance LLP in 1990, where my contribution was instrumental to the development of their Japan Business Group.

I act for many companies, governmental organisations and high net-worth individuals in the Japanese community in the UK, Europe and Japan. I am also General Legal Counsel for JETRO London and the board of trustee of Rikkyo School in England.

I regularly host seminars aimed at a Japanese audience and am author of a number of articles including:

• Practical Aspects of Japanese Companies' Legal issues & problems in Europe (IBL Journal Vol.24, No.12);
• Sex and Race Discrimination in Employment & Japanese Companies (Jetro Sensor);
• The World of IT and Risk Management (IBL Journal Vol.29 No.6);

弁護士中田浩一郎は、１９７８年に中央大学法学部法律学科を卒業。その後、最高裁判所司研修所を卒業し、１９８１年に日本において弁護士登録。同年、ベーカー＆マッケンジー法律事務所（東京）に入所。１９８8年にケンブリッジ大学(Queens’ college)修士課程を卒業。２００６年英国弁護士会（Law Society）に弁護士として登録。

１９８８年ケンブリッジ大学卒業後ベーカー&マッケンジー法律事務所（ロンドン）にて研修後、１９９０年にクリフォード・チャンス法律事務所（ロンドン）に入所してジャパン・ビジネス・グループの発展に貢献した。

英国を中心とする欧州や日本のビジネス社会で、多くの日本企業や政府機関を代理している。ジェトロ・ロンドン事務所の法律顧問や立教英国学院の理事も務めている。
