About

I help clients protect, enforce and commercialise the ideas, brands and technology that give their businesses their edge.

I am an intellectual property disputes lawyer, with particular experience in brand protection and enforcement. I act across the full range of IP rights, including trade marks, copyright, patents, designs and confidential information, and regularly advise on disputes before the High Court, including the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court, the Court of Appeal, the UKIPO, EUIPO, including the Board of Appeal, the EU General Court and in international arbitration.

Clients come to me for clear, strategic advice on how to stop infringement, protect market position and resolve complex IP disputes in a way that supports their commercial objectives. I work with businesses across sectors including retail, manufacturing, engineering, media, financial services and technology.

I also lead Lewis Silkin's China Desk. Having lived and worked in China, and being proficient in Mandarin, I am well placed to support clients with IP issues involving China and to help Chinese businesses protect and enforce their rights in the UK and Europe.
