I am a Senior Associate in the Employment team. I advise both companies and individuals on all aspects of employment law. My practice covers general advisory work as well as contentious employment issues.

My day-to-day work includes drafting employment contracts and handbooks, and advising on disciplinaries and grievances, dismissals and redundancies. I regularly advise on complex and high value Employment Tribunal litigation, including discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal claims.

I work with clients in a range of sectors, including professional services, finance and technology. I have also spent time in house, gaining valuable commercial insight on a secondment to the employment law team at a software company.

Investigations

I am part of Lewis Silkin’s Investigations group. We conduct complex and highly sensitive workplace investigations for a range of organisations. This includes interviewing witnesses, identifying relevant evidence and writing reports on our findings. I also advise employers on how to manage investigations and respond appropriately to their findings.

Individuals

I advise individuals on exit negotiations, settlement agreements and pursuing claims in the Employment Tribunal and High Court. I also advise individuals at the start of a new employment relationship on their terms and conditions. I have particular experience advising individuals in financial services.

Diversity and pro bono

I am a committed member of Lewis Silkin’s Diversity and Inclusion Board. I coordinate our Employment pro bono clinic and set up the firm’s schools outreach scheme, which delivers legal careers sessions to students in parts of the country where social mobility is particularly challenging.

I joined Lewis Silkin as a trainee in 2018. Before becoming a lawyer I was a journalist at a national newspaper. I have a first class degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford and a Masters in Broadcast Journalism from City University. In my spare time I’m a keen marathon (and occasional ultramarathon) runner and love discovering new podcasts to keep me company as I pound the pavements.
