About

I am an experienced employment lawyer and have worked for both employer and employee clients across a range of sectors, including Retail, Financial Services, Energy and Tech. I love bringing pragmatic and commercial solutions to the table, engaging with clients' issues from a human perspective to find a solution that works for everyone.

Throughout my career, I have worked on matters dealing with a range of employment law issues and regularly advises on all HR and ER issues, including the management of disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, performance and redundancy processes.

Outside of work, you can usually find me attempting to run (unsuccessfully), walking my dog (cocker spaniel) or enjoying a drink in the sun (which, in Glasgow, is infrequent).

Experience

  • Regular conduct of employment tribunal litigation across the UK, including advocacy at hearings;
  • Any business as usual employment law issues that you may face;
  • Advising on industrial relations issues, including recognition requests and industrial action;
  • Advising on large-scale change projects involving redundancy consultation, mass settlement agreement projects and wider business reorganisations;
  • Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements on behalf of employers and employees;
  • Advising on non-contentious employment law issues, including in Corporate transactions and the application of TUPE; and
  • Advising employers on senior executive-level reorganisations and exits.
