About

I have nearly 15 years' experience advising clients on all matters related to employment - from the hiring of senior individuals and the management of performance, capability and disciplinary issues to negotiated exits and the defence of litigation. I carry out investigations into sensitive and high-stake workplace issues and oversee large-scale 'change projects'.

I act for clients operating in a variety of industries, including professional services, retail and luxury brands, transport and infrastructure and facilities management. I have particular interest and experience in advising clients operating in the financial services sector.

I am a 'people person'. For me, the best bit of my job is working with a varied and impressive bunch of people - both colleagues and clients. I am a geek at heart and love tackling a knotty legal issue. However, I appreciate the importance of providing advice that is easy to follow and sensitive to wider business needs - including relationships with regulators and other stakeholders. I try to ensure that the law, so far as possible, helps rather than hinders my client's objectives.

Sustainability is an issue about which I care very much. I am proud to work for a firm that shares my aim to tread lightly on our Earth.

I sit on the Management Committee of the Employment Lawyers Association and I chair independent review panels for school exclusions for my local council.
