I was very proud to join Lewis Silkin in 2024 as one of its first permanent Senior HR Consultants in the Worksphere team, having previously provided my services as one of their independent consultants.

I have over 25 years' multi-sector experience in HR and Employee Relations both as a consultant and in senior employed roles within global businesses. I thrive on the challenge of working with any size of organisation to provide practical, agile and commercial HR solutions that will cater for their current and future needs and enhance their value proposition to their employees.

Experience

Employee relations

  • Creating and embedding local and international ER solutions and teams including designing service level agreements and escalation processes
  • Helping businesses to navigate UK and International Employee Relations activities (including dispute resolution and investigations and disciplinary casework)
  • Leading and advising on restructuring and change management initiatives
  • Leading and supporting individual and collective consultation processes
  • Designing and delivering key HR policies, bespoke manager guides and employee handbooks for both larger corporates and smaller growth businesses
  • Crafting tailored, engaging ER training solutions for leaders and employees (including performance management, disciplinary and grievance handling, absence management)

M&A, outsourcing & TUPE

  • Leading consultation and communication exercises for transferor and target companies
  • Preparing HR documents for end-to-end transfer process
  • Collating and managing of due diligence and ELI evidence
  • Upskilling leaders in TUPE and Acquired Rights to support their role in people transfer exercises
  • Providing post acquisition integration support for new operating model and teams including advising on restructures
  • Advising on the process of harmonising terms and conditions from planning through to implementation

Employment

  • Creating and analysing collateral to enhance employee experience (culture audits, engagement surveys)
  • Establishing and defining purpose of employee listening groups in particular in relation to wellbeing and employee engagement activities
  • Supporting Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives to attract and retain candidates from a variety of backgrounds
  • Upskilling people leads to enable them to set meaningful achievable performance objectives for their teams to align with their company values
